After completing his training as a banker (apprenticeship), Dr. Markus Brender studied legal sciences at the Universities of Munich and Würzburg.
After his internship and his doctorate on commercial law at the University of Freiburg as well as his initial practice as a lawyer, he first spent almost eight years as in-house lawyer in the central legal department of a major German bank.

Dr. Brender commands extensive knowledge and experience on issues of arrangements under company law, but also on issues of banking and capital market law as well as fiscal and penal fiscal law.

Dr. Brender is a certified specialist lawyer in tax law and in addition also a certified specialist lawyer in banking and capital markets law.
